FOX 13 News has learned that Dee Dee Moore has been charged with first degree murder in connection with the death of Abraham Shakespeare, the Polk County man who won the lottery, disappeared, and was discovered buried under a concrete block. The Hillsbrough County Sheriff’s Office put out a media release announcing Moore has been charged with in connection with Shakespeare’s homicide. She is already in the Hillsborugh County Jail, charged as an accessory to murder. Shakespeare won the Florida lottery in 2006, and disappeared in early 2009. His body was discovered buried in a shallow grave covered by a large concrete slab on a rural Hillsborough County property. Moore was charged as an accessory after the fact in his death.

Before Shreeve claimed his 000, Charles Barnes of Yuba City and Douglas Templin of Windsor started the show with big wins in the Lucky Penny game segment. Templin, who recently purchased a car, opted to take the cash equivalent so he could plan a nice vacation. Barnes also opted for the cash, but for a different reason Im going to use it to spoil my grandson, he said. With the Make Me a Millionaire progressive jackpot increasing 0000 each week, next weeks Millionaire game contestant will have a chance to win .2 million.
Leslie Marpuri, a 31-year-old Hayward resident and student at Foothill College, is Californias newest millionaire. Marpuri won the .6 million jackpot, becoming the sixth millionaire on the California Lotterys game show. The life-changing win will allow Marpuri and her family she is married and has four children to move out of their one bedroom apartment and into a nice new, spacious home. She will receive approximately 000 each year for the next 20 years. But the win almost didnt happen. Marpuri laid claim to her ticket to the show at one of the Make Me a Millionaire Mall Tour stops, even though she and her husband hadnt planned to go to the mall that day and didnt even know the Lottery game show was having an event there. She talked her husband into going there to kill some time, and before they knew it, they were in line to try their hand at the Safe Cracker game and she had her ticket to the show. Her luck continued as soon as she began the Millionaire game. Marpuri played a perfect game by correctly guessing higher or lower 10 times in a row to spell out MILLIONAIRE. Contestants are afforded two incorrect guesses before the game ends, but Marpuri never received a strike against her. I still cant believe it I feel like Im in a dream, she said. When I hit 000 and realized I still hadnt made a mistake I thought to myself Im going to win.

She did however leave some room for fun, Id love to take a trip to Mammoth Lakes to do some camping and fishing. Maybe now I can buy some new equipment! she said. Joaquin Solorio-Pineda, a warehouse forklift driver, was the nights other big winner. The Orosi resident played the Millionaire game and won 000. Solorio-Pineada says that he will buy a new pickup truck with his prize. With the progressive jackpot increasing 0000 each week, next weeks Millionaire game contestant will have a chance to win .6 million.
