FOX 13 News has learned that Dee Dee Moore has been charged with first degree murder in connection with the death of Abraham Shakespeare, the Polk County man who won the lottery, disappeared, and was discovered buried under a concrete block. The Hillsbrough County Sheriff’s Office put out a media release announcing Moore has been charged with in connection with Shakespeare’s homicide. She is already in the Hillsborugh County Jail, charged as an accessory to murder. Shakespeare won the Florida lottery in 2006, and disappeared in early 2009. His body was discovered buried in a shallow grave covered by a large concrete slab on a rural Hillsborough County property. Moore was charged as an accessory after the fact in his death.
Missing lottery winner Abraham Shakespeare was a truck driver who won million in a lottery in 2006. Shakespeare lived with his mom at the time he won the million Florida lottery. Shakespeare is believed to have vanished months ago. His mother is holding onto the belief that her son is alive and lying on the Caribbean beaches away from it all. The sheriff leading the case is treating it like its homicide though. The AP quoted the Sheriff Grady Judd: “”There are a lot of odd and bizarre circumstances in this case. We fear and are preparing for the worst. We’re working this case as if it were a homicide.” Shakespeare got his winning ticket at store called Frostproof. He claims that he won the grand prize after giving what little money he had left after buying the tickets to a homeless guy. Soon after that, he won the grand prize. Instead of accepting the annual installments, he instead took 16.9 million upfront. Shakespeare’s problems though were multiplied by a thousand when he got the money. A former co-worker sued him for stealing the winning ticket from him, the jury though ruled in favor of Shakespeare. Shakespeare was asked by friends for money for businesses, funerals, and everyone was just trying to take advantage of him from what it sounds like by friends and family of Shakespeare. The last time Shakespeare was seen was in April 2009. He was reported missing though on November 9, 2009. The plot though is extremely thick. Some are saying his financial adviser killed him. She was arrested Tuesday around 5:00pm, according to Hillsborough Sheriff David Gee. She is being held in the Hillsborough County Jail. Bond has been withheld. deedee Moore admits she had a role in the location where the body of Florida Lotto winner Abraham Shakespeare was found. But, she said she doesn't deserve to be arrested since she "didn't kill the man." Last week, a body was found buried five feet deep underneath a 30-by-30 concrete slab behind a Plant City house. According to public records that house is owned by Moore's boyfriend, 26-year-old Shar Krasniqi. Detectives identified the body as Shakespeares through fingerprints. Shakespeare, who won million playing the Florida Lottery in 2006, went missing last April. Family members had hoped Shakespeare went into hiding to avoid people he believed we're "after him." Unfortunately, he ended up dead.

Now investigators have arrested a fellow law enforcement officer. Troy Young, a 20-year veteran of the Lakeland Police Department, is accused of selling confidential information about Shakespeare to a woman who is now considered a person of interest in the case. “He’s a very well-liked guy. He’s a personable guy, well-liked by fellow officers and well-liked by people in the community,” said Lakeland Police spokesman Jack Gillen. Detectives say Officer Young sold the information to 37 year old Dee Dee Moore. Investigators say they met through a mutual friend, and that she claimed she was writing a book about the millionaire. They say she paid the officer 0 and a plane ticket to run tag numbers and searches through law enforcement databases. “For very little amount of money and Troy’s bad judgment, Dee Dee Moore ruined his career in her overall confidence scheme,” said Polk Sheriff Grady Judd. The sheriff calls Moore a con artist who befriended Shakespeare and Officer Young — a law enforcement veteran whose record was spotless, until now. “Troy Young may not have known her ultimate sinister motive. But he knows as a police officer, it is illegal to run tag numbers and provide that data our of the confidential systems to the public,” Judd said. Young is charged with unlawful compensation, a 2nd degree felony; and misuse of confidential information, a misdemeanor.
